MacRinse is Macpac's integrated Bin Rinse System, available for the Macpac 110 and Macrel 140, allowing bins to be emptied, washed and rinsed as part of the collection operation. MacRinse combines onboard clean-water storage, high-pressure washing and roof-mounted rinse jets, helping operators provide an enhanced collection service without the cost and operational complexity of a separate bin-washing vehicle and crew.
Traditional bin washing can require a second vehicle and crew to follow the collection vehicle.
MacRinse brings collection and cleaning together on the same vehicle.
Once the container has been emptied and inverted on the bin lifter, the operator can rinse the inside using integrated roof-mounted jets.
If material remains stuck inside the container, the bin can be lowered and the separate high-pressure lance used to loosen the waste before it is raised and rinsed again.
MacRinse incorporates a 2200 PSI high-pressure, low-volume wash system, with a retractable hose reel and Turbojet lance.
The lance can be used for an initial wash or to loosen stubborn and caked-on material inside a container.
Importantly, the lance isn't restricted to cleaning bins. Its reach and separate hose allow crews to use it to wash down areas of the vehicle body and clean up spillages where required, providing a useful onboard cleaning facility throughout the working day.
Two high-pressure, low-volume Turbojets are mounted at roof level.
Once the bin is inverted, the operator activates the rinse system and the jets move pneumatically into position beneath the container.

Wastewater from the bin-rinsing process is captured within the collection body and emptied with the collected load.
The two roof-mounted jets allow larger four-wheeled containers to be rinsed, with the operator able to activate the jets alternately or together.
A safety interlock prevents the bin lifter from being lowered while the roof jets remain in the wash position.
This helps prevent accidental damage to the system and container.
Once a container has been washed and rinsed, an approved disinfectant can also be applied where required.
This creates the potential to combine emptying, washing, rinsing and sanitising in a single visit.
